What I liked
How genuine and honest it was. There is no sugar coating of how awful parts of their life together was because of adversity and small mindedness. Mara is wonderfully funny and Mimi is quietly clever.
What I didn't like
I would love to see more interactive moments between Mara and Mimi throughout their journey! But the way it played as a narrative worked very well.
My overall impression
My Trans Wife is a wonderfully honest story about two women seeking out who they are and learning to love each other and themselves in the best way. With witty writing and amazing harmonica music, I was entertained and enthralled by Mimi and Mara’s journey the entire show.
