What I liked

The chemistry between the actors on stage was genuine. These were real people that could be our neighbors, co-workers, etc. Quite unexpectedly this is also a piece with moments of humor birthed from raw honesty. Kudos to Mimi Kmet and Mara Wells for achieving this as well as the amazing direction of Deborah Pearl.

What I didn't like

The writing gave us some beautiful moments of vulnerability for both characters. I would have liked to have seen a bit more raw emotion come out of these moments. This is just my perspective though. The moments worked in any case. Sometimes the understated is in fact more powerful for the audience.

My overall impression

A compelling story of two very courageous people. A thought provoking piece that grabbed me from the moment Mimi and Mara appeared on stage till the curtain call which seemed far too soon. I wanted more. It is rare when a play transcends theatre and becomes an Event while entertaining and educating. This is one of those pieces. A play that should not be missed.
