What I liked
I was privvy to some of this story and had heard it in lecture form, but this theatre treatment takes it to the next level. The pacing is smooth, the performances are solid, and the minimal use of set pieces and props moves the story along in a way that is engaging, evocative, and endearing. Love wins, make no mistake about that.
What I didn't like
The artists probably have no control over the assignment of theatres for the Fringe, but I’m thinking that if this were performed in a theatre that was fully accessible, so many more people would have the opportunity to enjoy it.
My overall impression
Tight show, good storytelling, excellent balance of fact, fun, fear and FUCK IT!
