What I liked
This show had an epic sweep when it examined the breadth of two lives as well as an intimate feel when Mara and Mimi described their relationship. It’s unafraid to take a look at issues facing the trans community – such as gender dysphoria and discrimination – but you’re ultimately left with a positive feeling as you see the deep love these women feel for each other. Mara’s excellent harmonica playing was a lot like this show – straightforward and elegant.
What I didn't like
Some of the slides came up a little late after the performers referred to them.
My overall impression
This was a sincere and heartfelt production starring two delightful women who by the end of the performance will feel like they are old friends of yours.
