What I liked
Bob’s slide show is very impressive. He’s a historian. Who keeps all these pictures? Let alone who took them? It seems like he had the foresight at a very young age to document and journal. And with this show, we are the beneficiaries.
What I didn't like
For a guy’s first show ever, this was super impressive. He’s honest, upfront, and way more comfortable than any first-timer should be.
My overall impression
I’ve been reading Bob’s ruminations about other artists for well over a decade, maybe two. I’ve learned over the years that when you see Bob Leggett in an audience, chances are there is something special about the show you’re about to experience. He’s always been fair, gently encouraging when necessary, and honest about his thoughts on the performances he reviews. But I’ve never known a thing about Bob himself, until now. And WOW! ….. this guy should have been writing the SONGS, not the reviews. He’s been through so much more than I ever expected.
