What I liked

Everything. Honestly. I am usually a very picky person when it comes to shows, but I found myself riveted by the ingenuity and beauty of the piece. The actors take the soul of the piece and rip your heart out. Even the silent Joy engages your very attention without saying a single word. And out leading lady holds out as a truly fantastical actress. The technical monstrosity that was the piece Silent Joy sets a bar for theatre that is aspiring, from the projector to the quickest of quick changes I’ve seen in a while. Through and through, an amazing piece of theatre.

What I didn't like

Do I have pick something? The text on the back wall moved slightly faster than the actors actual gesture. Ick, I hate myself for picking on that.

My overall impression

An amazing look into the mind of mental illness. Silent Joy deals with themes in a kind, and thoughtful way, keeping real to both the original material and the pulls from a classic work. It left me in tears, and aware of both myself and everyone I love.
