What I liked

I liked everything about the show, the scenes, the supporting music throughout out the show, and the lighting really helped to tell the story. It was as if you were transported in time to watch the story as it unfolded.

What I didn't like

I have zero feedback!!! Really, everything was excellent!!

My overall impression

I have a deep appreciation for the Afro-Brazilian culture as a whole. The play presented by this wonderful cast provided a history lesson on resistance, effects of betrayal, following your intutition, mythology (Orixas), having strength and stamina, and loyalty. All of the characters were able to wonderful weave all of these elements from this very important cultural and historical history lesson of Palmares and what this sacred place respresented. Additionally, I love to see Capoeira on a mainstage, I loved how this art was incorporated into story. We need more of this play!!
