What I liked

Shanara is so powerful on stage. We were in the palm of her hand for the whole hour.

What I didn't like

I think this piece speaks for itself. Maybe there were a couple technical issues with the lighting, but other than that, I got nothin.

My overall impression

Shanara pulls the audience in immediately and then gives a one two punch to the gut. And she doesn’t let up. Five minutes in, I was cringing to hear each new part of her story unfold. As painful as it was to watch, I wanted more. This show is an amazing experience. At the end of it I felt heavy, like it was hard to get up out of my seat. But it was a good ‘heavy.’ It was a ‘heavy’ born of better understanding.
