What I liked

In a moving and genuine performance, Julia Manis, the principal actor, lived the heart and soul of her tragic character. Adam Navas, the main character, was both fierce and tender. The two leads’ chemistry was convincing and blazing. Marland Burke, the lobster guy, was respectful yet pitiful and ultimately sympathetic despite his lack of words. The Greek chorus, which consisted of two stunning dancers, wonderfully matched the lyrics and feelings of the scarred souls on stage in this action-packed play. Both the lighting and the staging were flawless. The director delivered a heartfelt letter from Patti Smith regarding Sam Shepherd’s last days after the curtain went up. The epilogue to the play was ideal. This entire production was fantastic.

What I didn't like

For me this was a flawless production.

My overall impression

The screenplay is poetic, tragic, and lovely. I was captivated by this production right away and couldn’t get it out of my head. It was heartbreaking, funny, heartbreaking, and shocking all at once.
