This is a wonderful one-woman show that manages to be alternately heartfelt and hilarious. Armed with only a notebook of colorful drawings and a tiny red chair, Lema never misses a beat as she takes the audience back through her family history, her childhood, and the origins of her nickname. Lema is an engaging and active actress, but the writing is what really takes this show to the next level- whether she’s talking about ghosts, hugs, or jellyfish, her storytelling is top notch. Move over, Carol Burnett…this is a command performance by an up and coming actress that you won’t want to miss.
