What I liked
Changes in tempo, great dancing, and theme.
What I didn't like
Rear projector dark. Hard to see images and read captions.
My overall impression
Tomas Galván & Gimena Herrera, starring in Heart and Fire Tango Walking were mesmerizing from the moment they set foot on stage. Whether dancing a smooth, sultry and elegant Tango Salon, a fast paced, whimsical milonga or vals cruzado (tango waltz) they flowed effortlessly from one romantic theme to another. Their fluid movement and connection often reminded me of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. And performing in a smaller theater made their intimacy that much more impactful. No ensembles. Just a couple dancing beautifully. I hope there is a reprise performance in the near future.
