What I liked

Characters. Easily the strongest point. Everyone in the core family had felt like a well rounded person that came from somewhere, wanted something of their own, and didn’t exist just service another character. They each had their own journey, and they interwove really well. The ancillary characters just the same — the therapist, the secretary, and the evil scientist all had funny, sexy journeys. I was watching the show thinking how much fun it would have been to play any of those characters. Which I think says it all.

What I didn't like

The guy who played Adam definitely had trouble with singing, but it didn’t keep me from enjoying the show. I understand it’s Fringe, so you can’t cast someone who just got done touring on Lion King or whatever.

The opening kinda felt like a double opening. In that, you start on both the zombie invasion that the show builds up to AND the history of Dr Nympho and her family. Hard to say for sure, but the show might be stronger to just open the show on Dr. Nympho’s history and let the zombie unfold on its own.

My overall impression

Exactly as much fun as it sounds. An absurd romp with a great positive message, full dance numbers, and a ton of songs. Very funny, sexy without ever being awkward, wild, creative, and unexpectedly uplifting. It is a small but mighty production put on by folks with a clear vision. It’d be easy to make an obnoxious or uncomfortable version of a show called “Dr Nympho vs The Sex Zombies,” but this team made a version that can only be described as absolutely delightful.
