What I liked
retro bowl
The work cleverly incorporates seemingly absurd elements such as conspiracy theories, musical performances and impromptu speeches, to reflect a common reality: the voice of the people, however disordered or strange, is still an indispensable part of democracy.
What I didn't like
The climax is the image of a silent citizen standing up and saving the right to speak – this is a detail that strongly symbolizes the power of each individual. A witty, socially critical and thought-provoking work.
My overall impression
The story of “The City of Happymont” offers a satirical, humorous yet profound look at the relationship between government and citizens in the context of a small, growing city.
