What I liked

It starts off strong and stays strong throughout the entire show. There were never any lulls, and there wasn’t a single moment when I was unclear of what was going on. Yet it conveyed so much (backstory, present context, and laughter, laughter, laughter!) in such a short amount of time.

There were so many quote-able, memorable moments. The prop work and charming silliness throughout were amazing. The performance was amazing — you couldn’t help but laugh (and cringe!) at the character’s lack of self-awareness and transparent self-absorption. But somehow she was still like-able! And I didn’t want the show to end so I could see more of her!

It’s super accessible, and you could go just for the laughs — it’ll over-deliver just in that respect. But you’ll also realize that it’s such an insightful commentary on entitlement and victim mentality.

So many details throughout the show made it clear that every bit of it was deliberately and masterfully crafted.

What I didn't like

The show was flawless. This needs to be everywhere so more people can benefit from having seen it!

My overall impression

This was hands-down one of the funniest comedic performances (live or otherwise) I’ve ever seen. Right from the get-go, you’re plunged into laughter. It manages to be silly, yet grounded in reality. This satirical portrayal of Naomi (an entitled, accountability-averse wannabe actress) was smartly written, perfectly executed and just down-right hilarious. I found myself doubled over in laughter too many times to count.

The “one-person show” format was really the perfect medium for this story to be told, since it truly allowed you to see Naomi’s perspective on other people in her life. Hearing her truly absurd, skewed perception of others’ actions and words made this so incredible. It was the best 45 min. delve into the hilarity of Naomi’s mind.
