What I liked
The performances are spectacular, both Grinstead and Stromberg transform before your eyes again and again. Stromberg inhabits character after character- men, women, children of all ages, all of whose relationships with Jekyll and Hyde (both played by Grinstead) are unique and complex. Sometimes it’s hard to believe they’re played by the same person. Murder and heavy philosophical themes blend seamlessly in tone alongside fourth-wall-shattering jokes and low brow humor. You just have to see it.
What I didn't like
Only 10 shows in this run. Should be more!
My overall impression
So good. Fun, clever, inventive on so many levels. When I heard there was supposed to be a blend of “comedy” and “horror” I had a hard time imagining that being pulled off. But it really is both. The laughs are made more enjoyable against the backup of heavy, dark moral themes. First and foremost the performances are incredible, especially since all 10 or so characters are played by only 2 actors. You can feel the vibe in the room that everyone in the audience feels it too. The roles are appreciable because of the great writing and smart set/tech choices. Anyone would enjoy this. Highly recommend it.
