What I liked
Burt Grinstead never fails to give a 200% committed performance.. His work is always specific, nuanced, and convincing to say the least. He’s met his proper match in Anna; who’s accents and physicality are unmatched. The perfect use of sound and lighting helped both actors paint the perfect picture of this legendary tale. Great direction Anna!
What I didn't like
Honestly, some of the comedic banter between the board and Dr. Jekyll earlier in the show got a little repetitive and laborious. But that’s about it. AMAZING JOB!!
My overall impression
Fantastic performances by both Burt and Anna! You felt like there were 12 actors in the cast as opposed to the two person artistic team as actor, writer, and director. Great storytelling! The work is so specific, you don’t even notice that your’e in a black box theater with a minimal set. It’s like a ‘pocket-sized play’, with powerful, London West End theater power.
