Delightful fun for anyone who absolutely loves Jane Austen or Frankenstein or secretly hates Jane Austen or Frankenstein! There's something for everyone (except anyone who wants a deep, serious take on Regency literature), fun performances from a gifted ensemble, silly endearing songs and non-stop jokes and one-liners. For a light, breezy fun time, check it out! ... full review

Wow, best thing i have seen at the Fringe! A fantastic romp through these literary works of Jane Austen and Mary Shelley. Wonderful writing and energetic staging, with some funny musical numbers. A really entertaining show that made me wish for more at the end. ... full review

Every Fringe season brings a new crop of silly spoofs, and this one falls squarely in The Middle: a High Concept that generates a hearty laugh from time to time but is weakened by a tepid "song score" which is dependent on sitcom theme songs from two generations ago. A talented cast, given striking costumes but nothing else to work with, is dominated by its men: Michael Lanahan, funny as a Victorian misogynist; Bryan Krasner, with a unique new take on "Frank" (the Monster), and Graham Skipper, wringing every ounce of Zach Galifanakis out of Dr Frankenstein. An over-the-top subplot involving a rivalry between a tiara-clad Jane Austen and a tiara-clad Mary Shelley fills out the speedy sixty minutes. ... full review

Loved this when it started at Sacred Fools, and it's every bit as sharp and hilarious on the Fringe stage. An all-star cast squeezing every possible laugh possible out of an off-the-wall parody.... full review
