The very specific use of distinctive trash for the first two scenes.
*The selection of video and audio newsclips/videos (especially the red lobster commercial).
The use of comedy/commentary on comedy’s role in society and politics.
*Each actor’s complete commitment to being in character and present throughout the show.
What I didn't like
There were moments when characters tripped over lines and seemed a little uncertain about their accents, but it didn’t distract much from the overall quality of the production.
My overall impression
I was entirely blown away by the writing and the in-depth exploration of each individual character, both by the writers and the actors. There was much attention to detail in staging, set design, physicality and language. It kept me totally engaged from start to finish, a feat that’s hard to achieve in a 90 minute fringe show composed of lengthy monologues. Overall, a fanstastic show.
