Ben Ubiñas as director and writer was able to creatively demonstrate an inside look at what some people go through on a day to day basis. Astin and Corvino do a beautiful job of convincing you as their respective characters and help bring the script to life.
What I didn't like
It was almost an overpowering uncomfortableness when you’re first introduced to the different characters. They are so utterly different and Corvino’s and Astin’s acting truly convince the audience of their characters but then they also have the audience share in the messy situation as it unfolds.
My overall impression
The Rental artfully leads the audience through an array of emotions as you get an inside look at the life of elyse. Astin does a beautiful job enveloping the character and can not only utilize but masterfully create different emotions ranging from being vulnerable to disbelief and then outright hatred.
