What I liked
The music (I especially loved the drumming!), the dancing (so beautiful), the meta-theatrical elements, the lighting design, the almost bare stage (no need for extensive sets). The acting was excellent from all three performers, they had such strong connections with one another. The detail in the direction, wonderful use of the space.
What I didn't like
I really don’t think anything could be improved here. Lovely as is!
My overall impression
A beautifully crafted play by Kira Rockwell that uses meta-theatrical elements, dance and live music among other things to tell its story. With incredible performances by Esther Mira, Craig Shields and Olivia Schlueter-Corey and strong direction by Tara Donovan, this show is such a delight to watch. It is a sweet, emotional, thought-provoking story about connection. It may sound simple, but there is so much to take in and I don’t want to give anything away. Highly recommend seeing this show!
