What I liked
Inventive segments — and then a devastating video montage in which my first reaction was “oh, god, I forgot about that…” because there have been so many examples. And Bill always made it personal and intimate. I felt the pain, and respect the heck out of his ability to find laughs in it.
What I didn't like
I realized he sort of glossed over some time in the military — not sure if that would have enhanced this narrative, or if it’s being saved for another piece.
My overall impression
Struck the perfect balance between comedy and tragedy — Bill broke my heart and made me laugh a minute later.
