If you enjoyed 2007's 'Once', then you need to see this show. It is a heart-wrenching, fast-moving drama with live acoustic musical breaks by the main character peppered throughout. The plot follows Matt, a relatively well-known indie-rock singer-songwriter, his new love interest June, and Matt's manager/best friend Harley. The writing is witty and thoughtful, the music is beautiful and sweet, and the story is a classic tale of boy-meets-girl with an unexpected obstacle thrown into the mix. Watching these capable actors bring it to life was funny and moving- I would definitely recommend it....

I enjoyed the experience I had watching this play. The music was catchy and well performed and the story was touching. It had a Neil LaBute lite aspect to the storytelling and kept me interested through to the end....

'If My Voice Were Better...' is gross...in a good way. One of the goals of theatre is to make the audience feel like as if they're spying upon a scene through a window. The play is able to capture these playful, intimate, and essentially gross interactions that young couples of today participate in. I'm reminded of a Seinfeld episode where George and Elaine are disgusted by Jerry and his girlfriend's pet name for each other, "Schmoopy!" Yulch. ...
