My overall impression

Disasteroid! is by far, one of the most clever, whimsical and charming hours you’ll spend at this year’s Fringe — you may just leave the show reminded that “there’s something about the creaminess of milk,” among other nudges from the playwright’s message that it’s the little things in life that make it so sweet. There’s everything to feel good about, watching this show. Impeccable vocals from both cast AND crew (doubling as both 3-piece band & chorus – including playwright/lyricist/composer Zachary Bernstein, Gordon Wimpress & Eric Radoux), who masterfully turn eclectic ideas & fluctuating composition into easy to follow – and remember – melodies. Endearing choreography, and reference to pleasure from a leafy backyard, the social stature a docked boat yields, and having “low expectations” make this play an absolute must-see HOOT! I had the pleasure of witnessing alternate cast member Corey Klemow perform in equally-impressive Matthew Bohrer’s stead Saturday, rounding out the all-star quartet that includes the frenetically-fabulous Dagney Kerr, pitch-perfect John Bobek, and ethereally-graceful Heather Roberts. Any night Disasteroid!’s running is the right day to go make yourself feel GOOD. The effects of this show are long-lasting, trust me. I found myself “laughing like an old buffoon” at the simplest of joys this weekend. GO SEE IT!
