What I liked
From the stage lighting to the fact that Cindy was able to morph, not only into different human characters, but also into the different personalities of her cats! She also showed tremendous physicality in enveloping their different ways of crawling and lounging around. It was a very well acted play that left nothing on the table! I was moved and brought to tears – and found a deep profound connection to Cindy and her journey. Bravo!
What I didn't like
The play was all Cindy and her journey may have been specific to her, but I think all people can relate. I enjoyed it all – and I’m not even a cat-person!
My overall impression
Bravo, Cindy! I loved every minute of this play. You don’t have to be a cat lover to love this play. Anyone who has experienced the frustrations of dating, living alone and trying to be understood in this world will connect with Cindy and her struggles. Her deep love and devotion to her cats make them come alive. I struggled to hold back tears and laughed out loud, literally! If anything, the play is a love letter to her cats. But anyone who has felt love or the desire to be loved will be moved by Cindy’s stunning and raw performance!
