What I liked

I loved the use of puppetry and props. They were handmade and tied in magically with the use of video and media. It was intense and important to see the video the woman who had to fight for her low income housing after losing her husband, yet a real harsh reality that needs more discussion and no better than from artist in the theatre! Jean brought this concerns to the forefront in a wonderful way.

What I didn't like

I think transitions can be strengthened but I fully lived and enjoyed this performance art piece in Fringe!!

My overall impression

I truly enjoyed Still Life Of An Orange. It was Avant-Garde, abstract, ingenious and quite original from the normal fare of soli shows. It was unique and relevant to the times in which we are existing. I thought it a profound piece of theatre that took a look at huge issues such as eviction, the housing industry, the environment and the questioning of ones existence. I would love for this work to be seen with more time. Yet it can be hard for audiences to break away from the obvious and experience a truly original piece of work, which this was.
