What I liked
I enjoyed the use of physical objects to represent US, our navigation through life, and struggles in doing so.
What I didn't like
The filmed documentary segment went on just a touch too long for my tastes, as the idea was achieved fairly early on.
My overall impression
“Still Life of an Orange” is an innovative look at contemporary issues, captured delicately with a blend of physical performance and puppetry. Within the world of puppetry, many types are utilized well as storytelling devices and representations of larger concepts. This is a fringe piece that will keep you thinking after the performance has ended.
