What I liked

I enjoyed many of the strange props especially the shadow puppet shows! So fun!

What I didn't like

I will admit that the story was somewhat difficult to follow. I wasn’t sure how each sequence connected to each other and it brought a bit of confusion to how the narrative was being formed.

My overall impression

‘Still Life of an Orange’ was a truly unique and refreshing experience. It was far beyond most of the other Fringe shows as each story or fable took an abstract approach. Having a puppeteer treat very mundane objects like an orange as a character as well as creating a narrative through this concept, was inventive and fun. Despite the bizarre nature of the performance, the play never felt forced or unengaging. In fact, I’d say the contrary because it was hard to tell what would happen next with a story like this!
