What I liked
I enjoyed the humor, the writing and the performances. I wanted more.
What I didn't like
The segments which were singalong. I don’t like singalong as a rule, but I thought maybe it would work in this show. But then there was Morrissey.
Participation in the singalongs was sparse, so I guess I’m not the only one who dislikes them, at least in the audience who attended the same performance. It felt like filler. What if, as an alternative, each monster had a solo? Fighting and carping among the monsters? Maybe audience/monster interaction?
Also, we were given fangs upon entrance, but we didn’t get to do anything with them. I sort of was expecting that…
My overall impression
A newly awakened Dracula strives to make a buck by hosting a very special cabaret.
