THE HIGH CAPTAIN

What I liked

Very strong performers. Particularly Jude Evans and Heather Lynn, though the cast as a whole brought bold choices and boundless commitment. No week links, which is impressive in a cast this large at fringe.

What I didn't like

I think the script could benefit from a bit more workshopping. There are some neat ideas here, but many of them feel incomplete, and a few may not be necessary.

My overall impression

Some clever, if unfinished, ideas well-delivered a vibrant and engaging cast. Mr. Cire’s firm hand on the tiller keeps The High Captain from running aground.
