What I liked
The playwright’s concept/conceit – parallel story lines separated (vastly) by time – is unique and extremely well-executed. If you have a basic idea of the play, it holds together brilliantly. If you don’t have that basic idea, it could be – as one reviewer notes – a bit confusing. So make sure you’re aware of the basic idea….

My overall impression
In a just world, this show sells out! Echoes is powerful and thought-provoking – directed with taut energy. The two parallel narratives occasionally touch with a bright spark and then a final implosion; and the two extraordinary actors brilliantly evoke their mirrored worlds.
