Thought-provoking; rewards you as you make connections between the two storylines as they play out over two time periods.
What I didn't like
Decision to keep one character in a wedding dress works for the first third of the show, and then begins to get distracting and confusing. Similarly, having the other character NOT in a hijab at some point worked against the text. (Not sure HOW they would have pulled off a costume change, as both actresses are onstage the whole time…but one costume change for each character would have helped the storytelling.)
My overall impression
Smart, literate writing, with intelligent nuanced performances.
