This was not what I was expecting! Upon checking in I was excited and concerned. A waiver to see a show, I had never heard of that before...what was I getting myself into? This was a totally different experience from any other show I have seen before! The audience chooses the ending and directly affects the outcome which provides the audience with multiple ways to see the show and never see the same ending twice! We were greeted with what seemed to be people involved with the show and making it very obvious that they were not audience members although they were sitting in the audience as if they were about to watch. Once the opening monologue of the Professor started it was unclear as to how the audience was supposed to make decisio... full review

Fringe is about experimentation. This show took a "choose your own adventure" tone and you could alter the course of the show. It's refreshing to see something new like this. ... full review

Very creative. I loved how interactive it was and how we affected the outcome of the play. I NEED to come again and see who lives and who dies!... full review

Super creative, super fun, and super bloody and gory. MB stage takes the best elements of The Video Games, adds a cup of clever ingenuity, and a dash of Until Dawn to create something truly fun. ... full review

For horror fans, the standard slasher-movie plot is both fun and familiar. For theater fans, the interactive structure definitely pulls you into the show as it unfolds. A great experiment and was interesting to participate in.... full review

This show is a blast. It reminds me of their latest production "The Video Games" but with a group of archetypal high school characters who play their stereotypes to the extreme. It is very interesting to see how invested the audience was to routing for the "study" groups. We also managed to keep everyone but the bad guys alive! Apparently that has never happened before. Each character has an arc which is very interesting to see- some more extreme than others.... full review

If I'm correct, the show is based off the video game UNTIL DAWN. Knowing that, the platform and setup of the show is a pretty cool homage. Especially since the characters play into very specific archetypes. It's a very MB styled show where they cleverly recycle their actors, characters, and references. V tasteful. If you aren't familiar with their work, you won't be missing out on any inside jokes. Still a fun, creepy, audience-voting show. Would recommend. ... full review

The Study is a phenomenal achievement that is a wickedly fun rabbit hole of campy horror. Full disclosure: I'm not a fan of horror. Not only that, but I scare far too easily and have a habit of falling deep into a pit of psychological torture and despair after horror films. I was hesitant to attend The Study because the waiver convinced me that doing so was going to give me a heart attack. I'm very happy that this wasn't the case. What I did receive, however, was a crazy night that left me a more than a little shook from a mixture of anxiety, fear, and straight up fun. In this "Choose Your Own Adventure" style piece, the audience controls the fate of a hapless friend group that's being terrorized by a dastardly duo of creepy killers. A ... full review
