She IS the show. I am in awe of one actor writing, developing and then performing this entire piece. Julia plays dozens of characters here, each one with their own distinctive bent. I really did feel like I was watching an old murder mystery on Turner Classic Movies. She made the setting and ambiance come alive and it was just her sitting at a table — that’s pretty amazing.
What I didn't like
Nothing with her show but there was a lot of noise in the hallway and from another show (a musical) which was distracting for those sitting in the back row.
My overall impression
Julia Newton delivers an engrossing one-person show with this cool spin on Film Noir and hard-boiled fiction!
