The music: clever lyrics, great riffs, fun songs that were reminiscent of early heavy metal, from Motley Crue, to Dio, to Judas Priest, to even some Slayer when they wanted to.
The acting: perfect comedic timing all around, but a surprise standout was the judge. Just the right amount of deadpan and aloofness made what could’ve easily just been a cardboard cutout who moved the plot forward into one of my favorite parts of the show. A great contrast to the the zany antics of the band.
The humor: it’s funny. Just… it’s funny. Some jokes cross the line, oh yes they do, but I frankly didn’t care. It was all still in keeping spirit with the show as a whole.
What I didn't like
This was exactly what I wanted please don’t change.
My overall impression
This show was exactly what I wanted from it. Fun premise, great head-banging music, and a cast that new how to do comedy well – this metalhead couldn’t have asked for a better hour.
