What I liked

I really liked that both of the characters were fleshed out. They had flaws and strengths and felt like real people you might know. I also appreciated that the play tackled something that is so relevant in today’s world of Me Too. We tell women to accept themselves and be body positive, at the same time that the role models we put on the screen are so often white and digitally-enhanced to the point where they aren’t even real anymore.

What I didn't like

Honestly, I loved the play and would like to see more work by this author.

My overall impression

As someone who works in Hollywood, this play really struck a chord. I think it touches on things that so many of us struggle with. In an industry that is built on fantasy, how do you address the very real concerns of whitewashing and misogyny?
