Ty Pickett is not only a intriguing writer, but a fascinating actor to watch as he moves in and out of the many characters he portrays in this piece. Dumbing down absolutely nothing for his audience, he demands that we think and think fast as he tells the stories of several men in crisis and explores their identities and confining labels. ...

Ty is a dynamic, charismatic performer who shifts seamlessly between multiple characters at a break neck pace. The piece is at once funny and heart breaking, delving into a community's subcultures with a portrayal that alternates between loving and scathing. It definitely leaves the audience with food for thought.

great script
This play is an excellent display of Ty Pickett's talent as an actor and a writer. He seamlessly portrays 5 different and unique characters throughout the play: The Freudian "Dr." and 4 gay characters, who at first are introduced as typical stereotypes, but once the layers are peeled off to reveal what lies underneath, the audience gets to witness some very real and heart-wrenching moments. That paired with the excellent light/sound design makes for a heck of a ride.
Bravo!...

The priceless intro starts things off as a signal that you should put all your preconceptions on their head, as the infectious and exhilarating Ms. Taylor Shell begins a show about gay culture with its logical foil - the heterosexual perils of an enigmatic vagina. From this offers a springboard to let go of any expectations and let the play's fantastic fusion of truly masterful acting, poignant writing, crisp lighting and sound, to allow for the audience to be holding onto each line as if you were living it yourself.
