What I liked

I appreciated the commitment, nerve, heart of the lead Haley Ashlin who can truly SING which truly earned her role as the center to which the play orbited around. The details all the actors put into the roles did such a service to Julia Roberts and kept the audience laughing throughout the show. The braying laugh, the toothy smile, and, yes, the permed to the gods HAIR all gave us such an innovative conceptualization of why she truly was an archetype of America’s sweetheart.

My overall impression

Bobby Beus made this show an unexpected gem that would fit right in on Broadway or the West End. Loved the synthesis of life-lessons given from these classic movies of Julia Roberts with the results being truly a defining moment in the Hollywood Fringe canon. It was very well-thought out with incredibly detailed costume design, and with so much talent pouring from the lead onto the stage! A definite must-see and deserves an extension, perhaps abroad as well!
