What I liked

Poetic and lyrical dialogue, thought-provoking themes, wit and humor, incredible performances, leaves you thinking about it days later

What I didn't like

I wish I knew what happens next, but that’s also the crux of the play. You have to decide.

My overall impression

“Movin’ on Up is my favorite of all of Jeremy Kehoe’s plays. From the poetic and lyrical dialogue and the incredible actors who spoke the words so beautifully and with intention to the creative setting of a graveyard. The mix of wit and humor of the writing makes this play set in such a surreal surrounding a really fun piece to watch. It will leave you thinking about it days later — the existential crises of each of the characters, why they were all there, are they dead or alive, can they get out? The writer leaves it for you to decide making this one of the most though-provoking pieces I have seen in a while.”
