Simple affectations like masquerade masks to represent different characters. Her precise and nimble physicality. And really, everything.
What I didn't like
Nothing. This is as polished and outstanding a work you’ll see at the fest.
My overall impression
Absolutely brilliant! Charlotte delivers a powerful and endlessly clever theatrical biography of the late princess. Interacting both with herself (she plays a wealth of characters who swirled in and out of Diana’s life) and with a multimedia landscape of voices and headlines, she fills the space with a richness that even a full ensemble would be hard-pressed to pull off. Her singing is magnificent, the songs communicating volumes about her heroine’s inner life. A towering achievement.
