What I liked
The performances were excellent. The various cross gender casting was brilliant and really made those rolls come alive in a new and fresh way.
What I didn't like
Not sure how to answer this, as I’m still thinking about the play and how much I liked it. Maybe the music cues were a little too loud?
My overall impression
Although I’d seen other performances of the play and seen all the movies, I felt as though I was seeing Romeo and Juliet for the first time. Excellent execution of a raw and stripped down telling of a complex tragedy.
