What I liked
Experience a relaxed and enjoyable early game reminiscent of the iconic Mario games, where the design principles are carefully crafted to provide a soothing gaming experience. As you progress, brace yourself for an exciting journey as progressively challenging mechanics are gradually introduced, adding depth and complexity to the gameplay. Some of the major sources of inspiration for this project include iconic titles such as Mario World and Super Mario Bros Wii, as well as a highly regarded fan-made game known as Mario 63.

My overall impression
little runmo – The Game offers an engaging gameplay experience that draws inspiration from the iconic Super Mario games while staying true to its video game roots. For animation enthusiasts, the game offers a unique experience that deviates from a direct replication of the animated film. Our goal is to create a game that strikes the perfect balance between challenge and accessibility. While we won’t be going for an intense Meatboy-esque experience, we aim to incorporate moments that will test players’ skills. However, we are committed to ensuring a seamless difficulty progression throughout the game.
