A very sweet tale of love and loss and life. Sam tells a story that not many have lived, but definitely fear, in a way that comforts and finds appreciation for the time we have here.... full review

I first got intrigued by this show from the “Duran Duran” reference. I love New Wave and went in expecting stories about adolescent youth and the fanaticism of a certain band. While there are elements of that in this show, this is much, much more. ... full review

Sam is a very good story teller and a pro performer. She is flawless in her delivery. Touching and poignant moments from her life take us from laughter to tears. A journey worth watching. In the end Sam concludes that dreaming shouldn't take us too far away from who we are and that we need to be grateful for what we have right now. ... full review

This musical tale of teenage obsession, love & loss will ring true for any of us who imagined we really did share a life with our rock star crush, expecting to hear back when gifts are sent or letters are written. But even more than Sam's obsession with Duran Duran is the love she shared with her father, a successful screenwriter who urged his daughter to follow her heart. A touching tale of love, loss and the power within ourselves to overcome every single challenge and emerge as the person we were always meant to be.... full review

With a beautiful, charismatic presence, Sam Shaber leads us through the journey of someone looking for themselves, and finding out they can be so much more than they expected. Personal reflection and observation take on a universal feeling that feels like a warm hug when you need it most. Sam Shaber does have some sad tales to tell, but that’s not the point… her winning personality and upbeat outlook on life is truly inspirational. One of my favorite shows this year!... full review
