What I liked
The acting was superb. Daniel represented the ‘word of god’ in a way that was comical and compassionate. Bradley expressed the desperation of every soul let down by a God too far removed from his creation. The dynamic between the two was electric. As a former church goer, I truly appreciated the detailed bible wordplay involved. They also didn’t distance themselves from the part of the crowd that didn’t know the bible as well. The result was laughter at different places throughout the play, whenever a joke fell on a different portion of the crowd.
What I didn't like
Literally nothing!
My overall impression
This play worked on every level! The writing demonstrated an understanding of the complexity of the subject, left it open to both sides, and didn’t weigh down the audience with rhetoric.
