I loved the use of humor and the writing in the play. All of the acting was phenomenal, but I particularly enjoyed the character of Effa and the actor who played her.
What I didn't like
A bit too much historical information given to the audience at first but we’re still able to digest it.
My overall impression
Blackballed is a complex and eloquent look at the history of race and baseball in our country. The story is told with wit, humor and poignancy. Performances are nuanced and dynamic — great chemistry among the cast.
