What I liked

Good cast all around. I’m inherently prejudiced against time-travel stories because I think they’re very difficult to do right, but this play sidestepped most of the pitfalls.

What I didn't like

I don’t think the device of having Cassandra address the audience directly at the beginning and end of the show worked particularly well. (Not the fault of the excellent actress, Erin Altmeyer; this is a script issue.) For one thing, I don’t think the show necessarily needed it at all. For another, if there is a reason for it, then I believe it needs to be stronger than “I [Cassie] wanted to show you [the audience] this.”

Regretfully, I also simply didn’t buy Molly falling in lust with Gabriel that quickly. (Again, a script issue, and not the fault of the excellent actress Elizabeth Alan.) Maybe it’s because there isn’t enough time in a short play to see it develop, but whatever the reason, I found it unconvincing.

I do want to emphasize that these are both comparatively minor quibbles, that did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the show.

My overall impression

A very interesting concept for a story, featuring charming characters well executed by the talented cast.
