From the beginning of Charlotte's World or The Lone Terrarium I was blown away. The journey into the mind of Charlotte; dreams, worries, and experiences that everyone can relate to. It will brake your heart in a moment and repair it the next. Charlotte will dig into your heart and not let go, and throughout you will find yourself rooting for her to find what she is looking for. Fiona gave her everything in her performance as Charlotte. Her writing style is unique but engaging and will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. Fiona Lakeland did a magnificent job embodying the character of Charlotte. As an audience I was drawn in to her character completely. From the beginning of the show throughout the end, Charlotte is the kind of character I would've wanted to have been friends with when I was a kid. I felt like I was right there throughout every single moment of Lakeland's work. Charlotte’s World is inspiring & heartbreaking. Brilliant honesty is what we need. Fiona Lakeland wrote & performed this one woman show. After getting home from Theatre of Note I was thinking about how the play felt like it had a big cast, there was so much richness and so many things to think about.
