Her performance was inspiring. I’m an actor myself and to be able to be that honest throughout her performance is not easy. She stood in the truth of her story and the moment at every turn. I loved it. I loved her singing. She made me laugh but she also had me crying.
What I didn't like
She was self deprecating throughout and although I know that’s part of the story, it felt overly done in some places because she’s telling the story of a wonderful person trying to live life in the best way she can. I just didn’t think she needed to beat herself up so much, but that’s less about the performance and more just from one person to another. She was incredible! Best FRINGE show I’ve seen in years! Thank you!
My overall impression
Sarah Rose Reynolds seriously blew me away with this production and her performance. She was so raw, in the moment, honest, brutally uncomfortable in her vulnerability, and just a true joy to watch.
