My overall impression
Truly innovative theatre. It takes a few minutes to realize what’s happening (or actually, not happening), drop your expectations and relax into it. Very close to Beckett in concept and execution. Beautifully performed. I guess the closest description would be ‘absurdist", though even that word doesn’t quite fit. As a director myself, I had to ask myself how I could ever direct it. I had to conclude I couldn’t come close. I have a few minor quibbles, but all-in-all, I definitely say: if you’re someone who loves to see what theatre can be, go.
