What I liked

The theater was wonderfully intimate, and the minimal props and perfectly timed audio-effects were spot-on, combining into a perfect complement to the splendid narrative at hand, while simultaneously intensifying Cooper Bates’ powerfully understated delivery!!

What I didn't like

I wish the venue might have housed many hundreds, to be similarly enthralled as I was this afternoon – Cooper Bates could reach into the heart of the last patron seated in the very back row, no matter how big the theater!

My overall impression

A truly AMAZING one-man-show weaving history, life, and dozens of characters together into a seamless tapestry of one man’s journey through discovery, hurt, truth, joy, fear, and – ultimately – victory of a most profound nature. Cooper Bates opened to us his soul, and invited us to journey with him into the future by way of his often painful past – thanks for the ride Cooper!!
