I liked the intimacy of the venue because it was small enough to keep you/me ‘in the moment’ but large enough to not feel cramped.
As a character, I liked the flow of the dialogue because Kathryn/Ester (Easter without the ‘a’), did not dwell on any one character for a long time. She gave us enough insight to the plight of the character to feel empathy and then moved to another personality…. including the thoughts of a police officer whose daily route included Skid Row.
What I didn't like
I think we didn’t need the extra row of chairs put up front at the last minute that only 3 people sat in….
My overall impression
I truly enjoyed this heart-warming show. Kathryn took very serious subjects related to homelessness reflected by various characters and added just enough humor to keep us interested and entertained. I wish my church members could see it since we are adding Skid Row as a campus to our ministries.
